Hey you
We are looking for purpose-driven and adaptable Sessional Trainers with a background in retail, to open doors through education. As a trainer you'll share your skills, inspire learners and make a real impact in students and young peoples lives across Perth and WA.
About Activ Pathways
You'll join Activ Pathways, one of genU's two Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). While genU Training and Activ Pathways operate separately, both share a common goal: empowering people through learning and skills development.
What you'll do
As a Sessional Trainer, you will deliver courses that give learners the chance to take small steps that lead to big opportunities - helping them become job-ready, grow their confidence and achieve lasting change. In this role specifically, you will:
* Deliver the Certificate II in Retail Services (SIR20216) onsite to groups of young people.
* Engage with diverse cohorts of young people, including disengaged students and young people with disability, to help these students make the leap from school life to gaining employment or further VET study through this qualification.
* Collaborate with the Activ Pathways and genU Training teams to share ideas, support each other, and keep improving what we do.
What you'll bring
* You're a qualified trainer (TAE40122 or equivalent) who loves helping others succeed.
* Experience working within a retail setting within the last 2 years - essential.
* Thoughtful communication with great people skills, organisation and initiative.
* Comfortable with technology and able to manage course materials, reporting and assessments independently.
(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate - but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.
