Teaching Position at a Leading Autism-Specific School
We are seeking an experienced and passionate teacher to join our team at a leading autism-specific school. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of students on the autism spectrum.
About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who can provide high-quality education to students with autism. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and possess a strong commitment to student-centered learning.
Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with autism.
* To create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes socialization, emotional regulation, and academic growth.
* To collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and tailored approach to student support.
* To assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
* NESA registration to teach in NSW
* Special Education qualifications are preferred
* Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with other intellectual disability (desirable)
* NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
* Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's licence
* A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence (desirable)
* You may be required to provide an international police clearance
