We are seeking the services of an Accountant to join our Finance team in our head office in Bathurst. You will be required to provide a high level of support and assistance across a wide range of financial tasks to benefit the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful individual will work under the supervision of the Finance Manager in all aspects of business finances, with responsibilities including:
Month end journals – preparation and review, including lease journals.
Fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting and reporting
Lease accounting and reporting
Actuals to Budget variance analysis
Month end GL reconciliations
Identify and make recommendation for process improvements
Preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements
Payment, reconciliation, and compliance in relation to Coal Long Service Leave Returns
Assistance with external audit and annual tax returns
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
Other financial obligations as required
WE ARE SEEKING AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS:
Completed or completing a Bachelor of Accounting
Ideally completed a Master's Degree, CA or CPA or a view to complete
Sufficient financial accounting experience, preferably gained in a Group Training Organisation, education and/or skills development environment
Strong communication skills - written and oral
Familiar with SAP By Design accounting software and able to work independently
Familiar with the Ready Recruit Customer Relationship Management system
Advance Excel skills
Confidence with technology, and extensive financial application experience and have proven analytical, financial and reporting skills
Confident in dealing with complexity, enjoys being challenged, flexible in approach, and able to prioritise tasks.
Experience managing the demands and complexity of a multiple company structure
Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy and to exercise tact and discretion
Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a positive and constructive team environment with an ability to work independently
