About the RoleAs a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across systems.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support escalated issues, and contribute to strategic IT projects that drive business continuity and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Maintain and upgrade servers, storage, and network components.
Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and ACSC guidelines.
Provide Level 2/3 support and assist the Service Desk team.
Lead or support IT projects including migrations and integrations.
Document configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Certifications in industry-standard technologies are highly regarded.
Technical Experience (Preferred) Microsoft Admin Centre, Office 365, Azure, Intune, Autopilot (MOE), VMWare, Veeam, Fortinet, Meraki MS Defender, Barracuda Email Security PowerShell tools Why Join Wave?
