The Seventh-day Adventist Church (SPD) Limited is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join the General Conference Auditing Service (GCAS) for the Trans‑Asia Pacific Region, based at our Brisbane office. In this role, you will conduct financial and compliance audits for a diverse portfolio of Seventh-day Adventist Church organisations across Australia, New Zealand, Oceania, and parts of Asia. You will supervise small/less‑complex engagements, contribute to larger audit teams, and ensure adherence to GCAS policies, auditing standards, and applicable accounting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct assigned audits and assess compliance with policies, laws, and regulations
* Supervise audit teams and manage small audit engagements
* Analyse financial statements and prepare clear, professional reports
* Build strong client relationships while maintaining independence and integrity
* Travel within Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific and wider region as required
Essential Criteria
* Practising, baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field
* CPA, CA or equivalent (or eligibility)
* Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles
* Experience supervising or managing audit engagements
* Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
* Unrestricted work rights in Australia
