About the Opportunity :
We are seeking a Facilities Manager or Assets Manager to oversee the daily management of properties on behalf of the South Australian Government. These assets include, but are not limited to, schools, hospitals, courts, and police stations. The role involves managing breakdown and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and small projects. The position is based in Port Pirie and is a permanent full-time role.
Key Duties include, but are not limited to :
* Identify risks and opportunities related to maintenance and capital works, developing plans to meet commercial targets and optimize asset lifecycle costs.
* Support the delivery of the Property Asset Management team's Asset Business Plans and strategic initiatives.
* Analyze call-outs, reactive maintenance, and requests to inform maintenance and preventative schedules.
* Act as the first point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance issues.
* Monitor contractor performance, ensuring contracts are executed within scope and budget.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Assist with audits and inspections.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
* Monitor and report on the delivery of work by subcontractors, ensuring performance standards are met.
* Maintain accurate records and reporting to support proactive performance management.
