About this opportunity
Provide supervision or direction to other employees for road maintenance and road construction activities
The position is based in Boonah, but you may be required to work from any of Council's offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim.
Additionally, you'll also …
* Supervise staff undertaking a range of construction and maintenance projects requiring the application of established work practices and procedures.
* Assume responsibility for security and condition of all Council vehicles and equipment utilised by Work team under control.
* Review and evaluate procedures and techniques utilised by the Works team under control to determine and improve efficiently and effectiveness.
* Monitor expenditure in areas supervised to ensure compliance with budget, and advise the immediate Supervisor of significant variations
About you…
* Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle under a C Class Licence.
* Current card for General Construction Induction.
* Certificate III in Civil Construction and Maintenance.
* Understanding of road construction plans and specifications.
* Understanding of budgetary control for projects.
