Human Resource Specialist
This is a key role supporting leaders and staff across the organisation. You'll be the go-to person for all things HR - from recruitment and onboarding to managing staff performance, workplace health and safety, and helping with organisational change.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior HR role, knowledge of public sector rules and awards, and strong people skills. They will also be comfortable using systems like SAP (or similar software).
Key Responsibilities
* Be a trusted advisor to managers and executives.
* Oversee recruitment, staff onboarding, and training.
* Support staff performance and development.
* Handle employee issues like complaints or disciplinary matters.
* Lead projects such as changes to how teams are structured.
* Promote a positive and safe workplace culture.
* Stay up to date with government policies and update procedures as needed.
Requirements
* Experience in a senior HR role.
* Knowledge of public sector rules and awards.
* Comfortable using systems like SAP (or similar software).
* Strong people skills - able to guide managers and support teams.
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or a similar field (or equivalent experience).
