Reporting to the Manager – Information Systems, the BI Developer will oversee the creation and management of BI and analytics solutions, transforming data into valuable insights. The role contributes to the upkeep and development of data systems and reporting capabilities that support business decision‐making and the objectives of CSAPHN. The position will primarily be based in a country location, with offices in Nuriootpa, Black Forest and Mount Barker.
Responsibilities
* Elicit and develop an understanding of business needs from various stakeholders.
* Translate business needs to technical specifications.
* Design, develop, review, automate and maintain dashboards, reports and other business intelligence tools.
* Prepare technical documentation, training and other support material.
* Maintain and support the data analytics platforms.
* Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regular review and testing of report access permissions.
* Build and maintain a register of all reporting requirements and ensure timely delivery.
* Ensure regular submission of data to external parties to meet reporting obligations.
* Perform ad‐hoc queries and reporting as required.
* Protect sensitive data with utmost integrity and confidentiality.
Other duties
* Attend and present at meetings, seminars and forums when required.
* Support the organisation to embed reconciliation initiatives into business and everyday work in line with CSAPHN's Reconciliation Action Plan.
* Collaborate with Clinical Councils and Community Advisory Committees as required, providing input within the confines of this role.

Qualifications
A tertiary degree in computer science, mathematics, commerce or an equivalent discipline and/or comparable industry certifications and qualifications.
* Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence report development, data analysis and/or data engineering, preferably within a health industry context.
* Experience with Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server.
* Experience with model BI and data analysis languages such as DAX, Python, and R.
* Experience in data quality and validation, including automation.
* Sound knowledge of data‐warehouse concepts and structure.
* Demonstrated ability to build rapport and connections with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Experience in leading and delivering results across multiple projects with competing priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Legal right to work in Australia and willingness to undergo an acceptable National Police Check.
