Global Construction Corporation Pty Ltd is a construction company based in Forster, New South Wales, delivering residential construction projects across NSW. The business operates using a staged project delivery model and works closely with external architects, engineers, and certifiers to ensure all developments meet applicable regulatory and construction standards.
Stage 1 was completed in 2023, and construction is underway for Stage 2, with further stages planned. To support ongoing project delivery, Global Construction maintains an internal technical and compliance function to coordinate documentation, approvals, and construction activities across project stages.

About the Role
The Building & Compliance Technician is a technical support role assisting the delivery of residential construction projects. The position works closely with Construction Managers, site teams, and external consultants to coordinate building documentation, manage compliance requirements, and support construction activities across multiple project stages.
The role involves reviewing plans and consultant documentation, assisting with approvals and compliance processes, and monitoring construction works against approved drawings and regulatory requirements. External architects, engineers, and certifiers are engaged for design and statutory approvals, while this role provides internal technical coordination to support compliant and efficient project delivery.
This position does not hold statutory sign-off or certification authority.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist Construction Managers and project teams with planning, coordination, and technical support across multi-stage residential construction projects
* Review architectural, structural, and consultant documentation to ensure alignment with approved plans, NCC requirements, and council conditions
* Interpret building drawings, specifications, and relevant regulations to identify compliance requirements and potential issues
* Coordinate building approval and planning submissions in collaboration with external architects, engineers, and certifiers
* Liaise with consultants, councils, and regulatory authorities to address documentation and compliance queries
* Participate in site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify works align with approved documentation and conditions of consent
* Track approval conditions, inspections, and compliance actions through to completion
* Assist with coordination of shop drawings and technical details where required
* Support cost and time inputs related to approvals, compliance activities, and construction sequencing

Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum bachelor's Qualification in Architectural Engineering, Building Design, Civil Construction Design, or a closely related discipline
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a construction, building approvals, or technical support role
* Experience reviewing construction drawings and coordinating consultant documentation
* Ability to work effectively with site teams and external consultants
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Australian construction industry experience will be highly regarded
