We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded People & Culture Advisor to join our thriving team. Reporting to the Employee Relations & WHS Lead, this is a hands-on advisory role with a strong WHS focus complemented by a significant People, Employee Relations and Industrial Relations component. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and impact; supporting both WHS and ER matters, navigating risk and providing practical support across common workplace issues including investigations, claims management and industrial context.
What you’ll be doingProvide practical WHS advice, coaching and due diligence support across the businessSupport continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies, reporting and risk management, including psychosocial hazards.Support hazard and incident investigations, corrective actions and trend analysisCoordinate WHS Representatives and Committees and manage workers compensation and return-to-work processesProvide advisory support across a broad range of people related issues including performance management, grievances and workplace conflict.Support workplace investigations for both people and safety mattersPartner with the Employee Relations & WHS Lead within the People & Culture Team to uplift leader capability and deliver projects
What you’ll bring3+ years’ experience in WHS/P&C advisory and/or demonstrated capabilityTertiary qualification in WHS, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline would be highly regardedStrong working knowledge of WHS management systems, incident investigation, risk assessment and psychosocial hazardsProven experience managing workers compensation claims and return-to-work planningExperience supporting performance, grievances and conflict resolution, including ER and IR considerationsExperience with interpretation of industrial instruments and workplace legislationDemonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations (or strong capability and appetite to deepen this expertise)High level of discretion and the ability to build trust at all levels, with a pragmatic, customer-focused approach
