As the in-country product lead, you’ll partner with the Asia Pacific Merchandising team to align global and regional vision with local execution, ensuring timeless style and an elevated customer experience. You’ll work closely with the Australian Leadership Team to shape and deliver merchandise strategies that elevates our clients brand. About the role: Future-Focused Leadership Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of merchandising professionals, fostering a collaborative culture that puts consumer insights and customer needs at the forefront. Market Expertise Drive local insights on consumer trends, pricing, and competitors. Shape seasonal product briefs that balance market demands with brand vision. Partner with APAC Buying & Planning teams to curate compelling assortments. Support retail expansion by developing merchandise plans for new stores and activations. Brand & Strategy Build and communicate seasonal strategies across Retail, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Store Design. Deliver engaging product training and storytelling initiatives. Adapt global brand initiatives to enhance local relevance and drive growth. Analyse sales trends and inventory to develop actionable plans. Recommend visual, promotional, and product adjustments to optimise performance. Identify replenishment and incentive opportunities to maximise sales. Key Requirements Proven Head of Buying & Merchandise Planning experience within the premium retail industry. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex merchandising and financial metrics to inform decisions. Strategic thinker with a strong ability to analyse market trends and create innovative product strategies. Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities. Proactive, solutions-focused approach to identifying opportunities and addressing challenges. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence, present, and collaborate across all levels of the business.
