We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Maintenance and Infrastructure Specialist. This role involves maintaining and upgrading council assets, ensuring public spaces are well-kept, and supporting a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and upgrade council assets, including construction and general maintenance tasks.
* Clean and upkeep public spaces to ensure they remain safe and attractive.
* Operate light mechanical plant and small equipment to support daily operations.
Requirements
* Minimum MR Licence.
* Relevant experience in construction maintenance and upgrading infrastructure.
* Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance work.
* Flexibility to work in different areas and adapt to different tasks.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
* Chainsaw Level 1 certification.
* Certificate III or higher in horticulture, landscape, construction, or carpentry (and/or studying).
* SWNELP qualification.
* Traffic Management Implementation Level II certification.
