Restoration Technician (Insurance Works)

We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Restoration Technician to join our Sydney team, based from our Mascot office. This is a mobile role with daily travel required across the region – from the Illawarra Region through to the Central Coast. You'll be on the road each day attending sites, so it's perfect for someone who enjoys variety and working independently.
You'll be involved in a wide variety of technical restoration work, including moisture detection and mapping, installation of environmental controls (such as dehumidifiers and air scrubbers), controlled demolition of affected building materials using structural containment barriers, and structural drying techniques. Your day-to-day will involve practical, hands-on work that requires initiative and attention to detail. – keeping every day fresh and dynamic.
You'll also play a key role in report documentation, managing workflows, and ensuring each job is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities
* Travel daily between the Illawarra Region and the Central Coast, assessing and restoring damaged building and contents.
* Conduct assessments, moisture surveys, site measurements, and photo documentation, uploading findings into our workflow management system, Prime.
* Perform hands-on restoration work, including water extraction, structural drying, contents processing, and mould remediation.
* Balance on-site restoration work with timely communication and documentation.
What You'll Do

Qualifications & Skills
* Hands-on skills – Comfortable with material removals (e.g., carpet, skirting, plasterboard) and contents processing when required.
* Project execution – Ability to deliver differing work orders, manage workflows, complete reports, and juggle multiple restoration projects.
* Tech-savvy approach – Experience using tablets, smartphones, and workflow management systems (Prime experience is a plus).
* Driver's Licence & White Card – Essential for this role.
* Daily travel flexibility – Must be comfortable travelling daily between the Illawarra Region and the Central Coast, with occasional overnight stays as needed.
* Exceptional communication & time management – You're organised, proactive, and can juggle multiple priorities with ease.
* Restoration expertise – Experience in restoration and remedial work (water extraction, mould remediation, structural drying) is highly regarded but not essential.
Requirements & Travel
Travel daily between the Illawarra Region and the Central Coast, with occasional overnight stays as needed. A National Police Check and pre-employment medical may be required.
