Join a multinational renewable developer and asset owner as they scale up delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Australia. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to play a pivotal role in project delivery success.
Prior renewables, energy or power experience is highly regarded.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end contractual function across large-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on delivery stage and oversight into procurement. Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, this is a key leadership role supporting both commercial performance and risk management across an Australian portfolio.
* Manage and administer project contracts including EPC, BoP, D&C, O&M, LTSA, and other relevant agreements.
* Drive contract negotiation, execution workflows, compliance tracking, and variation/claim management.
* Track contract deliverables, obligations, milestones, and performance
guarantees. Monitor project progress and maintain the project control register (EOT, variations, claims) and contract register and ensure accurate document control.
* Maintain key project control registers (deliverables, milestones, notices, claims, etc.).
* Collaborate with legal, finance, procurement, and project teams to ensure robust contract governance.
* Provide commercial support to project managers throughout the lifecycle of each project, overseeing project performance metrics and delivering regular contract reporting to senior leadership.
* Contribute to the development of contract management best practices and continuous improvement across the delivery function.
Qualifications
* 7–10 years of experience in contract management for large-scale power infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
* Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex EPC and related contracts and subcontracts.
* Strong working knowledge of construction law and risk management principles.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with proven experience managing multiple contracts and stakeholders.
* Comfortable advising senior management and coordinating cross-functional teams.
* Prior renewable energy or power project (solar, wind, BESS, transmission or distribution) is highly desirable.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Construction, Engineering, or Business.
