About Hands and Feet
Founded in 2015 by a Sydney family passionate about supporting people experiencing homelessness, Hands and Feet has grown into a community-driven organisation now operating across five states. Each week, we proudly provide nutritious food to nearly 3,500 households in need.
Role Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading: Helping to trucks at laoding docks, delivery points, and the Hands and Feet warehouse
* Ensuring loads and correctly stacked and secured to prevent damage during transit.
* Guiding the truck driver into and out of loading bays and other confined areas.
* Inventory and paperwork: Performing clerical tasks to record and check cargo, and sometimes using moving equipment like forklifts.
* Assisting the driver to wash and clean the truck
* The role requires a good level of physical strength and stamina for manual labor.
* The ability to work closely and efficiently with a truck driver is essential.
* Good communication skills for guiding the driver and coordinating tasks.
* A strong understanding of and adherence to safety procedures is critical for both personal and cargo safety.
