Role Description
* Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of insurance claims
* Attend, review risk, investigate causation, confirm quantum of loss and assess policy coverage
* Conduct interviews with policyholders, witnesses and other relevant parties to gather information and evidence
* Appoint and collaborate with, other professionals, service providers and suppliers
* Prepare written progress reports and seek instructions to negotiate claims
* Meet Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
* Ensure Contractual, Statutory and General Insurance Code of Practice (GICOP) requirements are met
* Maintain timely communications with all stakeholders, giving clear and accurate advice or updates
* Participate in mentoring programs, as a Senior Member of the Loss Adjuster Team
Experience/Qualifications
* Experience: 5+ experienc e within Property - major and complex loss, or Commercial, Liability, Construction and Engineering, or Strata
* Education & licensing: Associate of AICLA for 5+ years; ANZIIF fellowship or university degree or an equivalent international qualification
* Skills: expertise in full insurance claims lifecycle including the legislative framework, applicable codes and products, knowledge of administrative hearings and litigation processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational, negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in preparing written reports
* Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for claims management and record keeping
