We are seeking a talented Building Product Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to bring your expertise in building materials and performance to shape the future of residential construction.
As a Building Product Specialist, you will apply your knowledge of building products, building physics, and building systems to characterise how light gauge steel roofing, cladding, and framing products function within an overall building system. You will work closely with internal cross-functional teams, customers, sustainability consultants, industry associations, and academia to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of the Australian built environment.

What Will You Do?
* Develop relationships : partner with customers, sustainability consultants, industry associations, and academia to deliver solutions that meet the needs of the Australian built environment.
* Share your knowledge : educate and guide building professionals on the application of building systems as they relate to building codes or standards for residential construction.
* Contribute to new industry codes and sustainability rating tools : work with our industry partners to achieve industry compliance, including the development of new standards and the representation in energy and embodied carbon rating tools, for our building systems.
* Manage innovation projects: Design and manage product testing initiatives that verifies performance and compliance of our building systems in the context of Australian Climate and Construction.
* Bring your own ideas : identify and review suitable ways we can deliver new or enhanced building systems and solutions.
More About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* an understanding of building product performance requirements or building physics principles like heat transfer or fluid dynamics.
* a working knowledge of the compliance requirements for residential buildings, particularly in energy rating or voluntary sustainability rating tools
* an aptitude to apply your experience to explore how systems function and solve problems
* exposure to working in an environment where you liaised with diverse working or reference groups and industry participants
* proven ability to work across multiple individuals / teams to deliver in your role
