Our Perth based client is recruiting for an Automation Test Consultant on a 12 month fixed term contract working full time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
The main purpose of the role addresses the automated testing needs of the current and upcoming systems while maintaining a consistent and improved end-user experience. This role will have the key responsibility of creating automation test frameworks from scratch through to implementation within the IT Department for our client.
**_What you'll do:_**
- Develop an Automation Test Strategy taking into consideration environment, tools & performance of client's systems and apps
- Drive an automation-first progression approach for System Testing and End-to-end Testing.
- Collaborating with the Test team & project team members to co-ordinate activities, identify and highlight risks and issues, provide estimates of work required and give regular updates during daily stand-up
- Help formulate the test automation roadmap and adoption plan
- Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
- Proven experience in developing automation test frameworks from scratch through to implementation.
- Demonstrated experience and highly developed skill in the analysis, documentation, and modelling of test automation process.
- Comprehensive understanding of testing methodologies and strategies, with specific focus on Agile and Waterfall models.
- Develop end to end automation test suite for progressive and regression testing to minimize the overall manual testing effort whilst setting-up test cycles and reporting dashboards in test management tool.
- Demonstrated experience in defining automated test scenarios, test cases and scripts based on business requirements and use cases.
- Demonstrated experience using an industry standard testing tool for preparing and executing test cases along with tracking defects through the defect lifecycle.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with design and business team members to evaluate and understand functional, technical, and business requirements.
- Upskill the existing manual testing team in automation testing
**_What you'll need:_**
- 3 years plus experience as an Automation Test Consultant
- Experience with distributed, integrated, and standalone environments
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to coach, support and mentor other team members
- (Desirable) Experience with Ranorex or Test Complete, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr
