Yarran Thoroughbreds and Northwood Pastoral are looking for a highly motivated, reliable farm hand to work across neighbouring properties. As our farm hand, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our property, infrastructure and gardens/environment.
The position is full-time, and accommodation is available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* At least a full car drivers licence
* An eye for detail and forward thinking
* The ability to work alone or in a team
* Motivated with a good work ethic
* Good communication and record keeping skills
* Physically fit and able to work manual tasks
* The ability to adhere to safety protocol and regulations
* Tidy and respectful
Desired qualifications/skills:
* Experience operating a tractor
* Experience safely using a chainsaw
* Able to complete fence and trough repairs
* Gardening and light landscaping
* Hands-on experience with cattle
* Able to complete basic vehicle maintenance
* Use and maintenance of mowers, whipper snippers and garden tools
* Experience with pumps - preferred but not essential
* Basic horse handling skills - preferred but not essential
