The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician/ Mechanical Engineering Technician to ensure the reliability and safety of our equipment. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards in production and operational efficiency.
Key Duties
* Perform die changes and machine setups safely, accurately, and efficiently; minimise downtime by ensuring all tooling is properly maintained and ready for use.
* Assemble, install, and modify components and machine tools.
* Conduct diagnostic tests, inspections, and performance checks to ensure equipment reliability.
* Select appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for maintenance tasks, and support by preparing diagrams, collecting data, and assisting with technical planning.
* Carry out routine and preventative maintenance to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
* Estimate material and tooling requirements for maintenance and installation work.
* Complete all tooling documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records.
* Coordinate with the Production Manager regarding repairs and follow up with toolmakers to ensure work is completed to standard.
Skills and Experience Required
* Relevant trade qualification.
* Proven experience in maintenance, installation, or repair within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of systems, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
