About the opportunity
This role is the perfect opportunity for a motivated person who enjoys working with people to support them in achieving identified goals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. You will be part of an exciting new service established to support patients presenting with complex behaviour management needs in the inpatient Specialist Dementia Care unit at the Townsville University Hospital.
This includes contributing to patient care by providing administrative and advanced clinical assistance to Occupational Therapists in their day-to-day clinical duties.

Contribute to patient care by providing administrative and clinical assistance to allied health professionals in their day-to-day clinical duties. Works under the supervision and direction of the Allied Health Professional and undertakes only those clinical tasks delegated to them.
This are permanent part-time positions, eaching working 66.5 hours per fortnight over a 7 Day Service.

Salary range: $38.36 - $41.02 p.h. (CA4)
4 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
Locality allowance
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

Requirements:
A Certificate IV - Allied Health Assistant or equivalent is required for this position. Evidence of any qualifications must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties.
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.
This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
Roster: This position is required to work as part of a seven-day service (including weekends and public holidays).
