The role of a Dental Assistant is to provide clinical and administrative support to dental officers and oral health therapists in delivering safe and effective oral health services. This position requires a high level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures, as well as the ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks.

This position also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Travel may be required for work purposes, including overnight stays at health service expense.
Requirements
* Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent
* Demonstrated high level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of current infection control principles and procedures
* Demonstrated ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks
* Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the team
* Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
