Salary: $98,836 - $106,667 p.a + superannuation + salary packaging benefits The Melbourne Children's is seeking 2 Research Nurse's to join our dedicated Neuromuscular Clinical Trials team within the broader Neurology Clinical Trials Node at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI).
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to industry-sponsored and investigator initiated clinical trials investigating the safety and efficacy of cutting-edge treatments for neuromuscular disorders in children.
The opportunity: As a Research Nurse, you'll be at the heart of clinical research — planning and conducting study visits, supporting children and their families through complex trials, and ensuring high-quality, ethical research standards. This role involves hands-on responsibilities such as:
- Coordinating and conducting trial visits according to study protocols
- Blood collection and specimen preparation
- Supporting trial participants and their families throughout the study
- Liaising with sponsors and investigators to ensure trial efficiency
- Maintaining accurate documentation and data integrity
Additional responsibilities include:
- Coordinate all aspects of clinical trial conduct, including ethics submissions, data entry, and sponsor communications
- Monitor participant safety and administer investigational products under protocol
- Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support education and training related to trial procedures
- Represent nursing in clinical research processes across the Melbourne Children's campus
What we need from you: Essential:
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration (Division 1)
- Demonstrated experience in independent nursing practice, preferably within a clinical trial setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Empathetic, family-centred approach to care
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Experience in paediatric or neuromuscular nursing
- Previous experience in industry-sponsored clinical trial coordination
