About You
* Essential
* Certificate III in Plumbing
* Valid driver's licence (minimum P‐plates)
* Ability to pass police check, medical and drug and alcohol testing if required
* Construction White Card
Position Summary
The Trade Qualified Plumber is responsible for the independent installation, maintenance, commissioning and testing of plumbing systems in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications and company expectations.
This role is hands‐on and operational, delivering high‐quality plumbing work safely, efficiently and professionally while supporting apprentices and contributing to team productivity.
Key Requirements
Essential
* Relevant Plumbing Registration / Licensing (where applicable)
* Demonstrated experience in residential and/or project plumbing
Desirable
* Additional endorsements (Gas, Roofing, Drainage etc.)
* Experience in commercial projects
Job Responsibility
Technical Trade Duties
* Install, maintain, commission and test plumbing services across residential, commercial and project environments
* Interpret plans, specifications and scopes of work accurately
* Carry out sanitary, water, gas and general plumbing installations
* Identify and resolve technical issues on site
* Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3500 and relevant plumbing regulations
* Maintain high‐quality workmanship with minimal rework
Site Productivity & Delivery
* Complete assigned works within allocated timeframes
* Coordinate effectively with Leading Hand and other trades
* Ensure materials, tools and equipment are organised and used efficiently
* Identify variations or scope changes and report promptly
Safety & Compliance
* Work in accordance with WHS legislation, SWMS and site‐specific safety plans
* Identify hazards and report incidents within 1 hour
* Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite
* Promote safe behaviours and intervene when unsafe acts are observed
Mentoring & Team Contribution
* Provide guidance and support to apprentices
* Demonstrate correct trade techniques and professional standards
* Contribute positively to site culture and teamwork
* Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues and clients
Administration & Systems
* Complete daily timesheets accurately
* Submit job notes, site photos and documentation as required
* Ensure jobs are documented and ready for invoicing within required timeframes
* Record materials and variations accurately
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This role requires work in varied environments including residential, commercial and construction sites and may involve:
* Working at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in varying weather
* Manual handling, lifting, bending, kneeling and working in sustained postures
* Use of hand and power tools
* Exposure to wet, dusty or noisy environments
All work is conducted in accordance with workplace health and safety legislation.
