The Opportunity
Join us at an exciting time and bring your experience to deliver the Library’s Metadata Strategy. Support the Content and Collections Manager in operations and manage metadata creation, management, and dissemination functions.
As the Metadata Innovator, you will oversee strategic and operational activities related to metadata for Library collections, research outputs, and identifiers. A key focus will be ensuring metadata supports discovery and access across global digital networks like Trove, WorldCat, ArXiv, HathiTrust, VIAF, and ISNI, aligning with local and international industry standards.
You will explore innovative solutions to maximize metadata’s impact and value for Monash researchers and collections. Your excellent relationship-building skills will enable you to engage with content providers, platforms, consortia, and global initiatives to optimize metadata dissemination and connectivity.
With your leadership skills, you will guide metadata specialists in Collection Description, Data Quality, and Research Output Collections Services, providing strategic and operational advice to achieve the Library’s goals.
