Overview
The Opportunity The Support Mentor role is a critical role within our Apprentice Connect Provider (ACP) division at MEGT. The role provides day-to-day support and mentoring activities to our Apprentices, Employers and other stakeholders, to ensure the right supports are in place, driving Apprenticeship completions. This is a 12 month fixed-term Parental leave cover role.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of Australian Apprentices to increase completion rates, maintaining contact throughout
* Provide guidance and create case management plans to address any identified barriers
* Understand and ensure compliance with policies and procedures applicable to the program
* Complete tasks within set timeframes
* Maintain accuracy with data and information gathering related tasks
Qualifications
* Previous experience fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders, including apprentices, employers, external vendors and parents/guardians where applicable
* Ability to identify appropriate solutions and provide proactive assistance including referrals to specialist organisations e.g. housing support etc
* Excellent communication and administration skills
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to interpret and assess information
* Experience and or qualifications in Youth/Social work, or progress towards these qualifications, e.g. Certificate IV Community Services, would be highly regarded
