About the Role
This newly created Site Engineer position will support the delivery of multiple infrastructure assets focused on tank, vessel, and mechanical system installation. Embedded within a projects team, you'll work closely with subcontractors and project leadership group to ensure quality, safety, and program alignment across all construction phases.
Responsibilities
* Oversee mechanical installation of tanks, vessels, and associated systems
* Conduct QA/QC inspections to ISO 9001, and project-specific standards
* Review ITPs and fabrication documentation
* Manage daily site data—FSMs, ITRs, subcontractor reports—to maintain live program of works
* Provide daily and weekly reporting on progress, productivity, and compliance
* Coordinate subcontractor activities with field operations and delivery milestones
* Liaise with suppliers and clients to manage Free Issue Materials and procurement timelines
* Submit design variations with cost and schedule impact analysis
* Compile data for claims (EOTs, exemptions, variations) and support submission
* Ensure VC documentation is complete with quantities and test results at lot completion
* Support commissioning and handover with a focus on mechanical integrity
* Assist with engineering admin: subcontractor coordination, document control, procedures
Qualifications
* Mechanical engineering or fabrication background (degree or trade)
Required Skills
* Experience in tank/vessel installation, or heavy industrial projects
* Strong understanding of mechanical QA protocols
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and QA documentation
* Confident communicator with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
* Proactive mindset with a knack for solving site-level challenges
