Our environment is one in which high performance is expected; in return, we will provide you with rewards and opportunities tailored to your personal and professional goals.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Solicitor to join our leading Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety team to be based in Brisbane.In this role you will work closely with Partners Aaron Anderson, Wendy Fauvel and Matthew Cameron, as well as Partners and lawyers across our national practice. You will undertake a range of work that supports and advises blue chip clients across multiple sectors on employment law, industrial relations and safety matters.The team provides employment law advice on industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, industrial action, employment aspects of large-scale M&A and projects transactions, advice on compliance (including in relation to employment, anti-discrimination, safety and payroll issues), workplace investigations, interface with industrial and safety regulators, including investigations and prosecutions, and all types of Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings.You will play a key role on matters, supervising and developing more junior team members, as well as supporting business development opportunities with existing and new clients. You will have extensive client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a team of highly ambitious and collaborative legal and support staff.Skills & experience:To be successful in this role, you will have:demonstrable experience in one or more of employment law, industrial relations or safety in a private practice, government, or in-house environment;an excellent academic record, strong communication and teamwork skills;an interest in supporting the team's strategic business development initiatives;a hunger to learn, develop and maintain a market-leading practice.The team:The Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety (EIRS) team in Australia provides specialist expertise on all legal matters impacting on the employment relationship.
