**About The Role**
In partnership with Verve Partners our client, the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, are recruiting an experienced Human Resource manager to provide strong and innovate leadership to their People and Culture team, on a 13-month contract basis.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, as HR Manager you will build strong relationships, provide specialist advice and support to your team and leaders. Your role will encompass all aspects of people management, processes and policies, workforce planning, performance management, and employment relations, as well as the operational day to day and strategic planning to enhance the culture of the team.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Conduct regular meetings with Managers to develop a solid understanding of their service, their challenges, and opportunities for the People & Culture team to provide guidance and support.
- Provide open communication to all employees and facilitate relationships between employees and the executive team.
- Review and maintain all HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Support, lead and coach a team of HR professionals.
- Partnering with managers to support workforce planning and engagement.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements regarding the management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in partnership with the Employment Relations team.
- Contribute to the development of organisation wide projects.
- Tertiary qualifications, diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading and guiding a HR team.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment that experiences frequent change.
- Previous experience with, or exposure to, the NDIS is desirable.
- Possess excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, ensuring successful relationships are developed and maintained.
- Effective listening and partnering skills.
- Desire to make a difference and have a passion for proactive HR practices.
- Ability to support and coach stakeholders and team members.
- Current Class c drivers' licence.
- A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children).
- Be able to undertake a National Police Check.
