Role Overview
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our Advisory Risk & Regulation Practice as part of the Public Sector Litigation team. The role will involve working closely with partners Cain Sibley and Caroline Bush on dispute resolution and litigation, including merits review and judicial review of government decisions, and on advisory work related to decision making, legal risk management, statutory interpretation, regulatory matters, compliance & enforcement, privacy, and information access.
Key Responsibilities
* Work on a broad range of dispute resolution and litigation matters, including administrative law cases.
* Represent clients, including government departments and agencies and private sector bodies, in various courts and tribunals.
* Develop client relationships with in‑house lawyers at clients.
* Mentor junior lawyers.
* Work within an experienced and cohesive team of public sector lawyers.
Qualifications & Skills
* At least 3 years PQE with experience in public sector and administrative law matters.
* Experience in commercial litigation (looked at favourably).
* Strong work ethic.
* Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong time management and attention to detail.
* Outstanding client service skills.
