About This Opportunity

School of Chemical Engineering – Faculty of EAIT GETCO2 Full‐time (100%), fixed‐term position until July 2029. Base salary will be in the range $95,361.62 - $102,302.92 + 17% super (HEW Level 6). Based at our St Lucia Campus – Brisbane.

Responsibilities

* Provide high‐level administrative support to Centre Executives, including diary management, travel coordination and credit card reconciliation.
* Coordinate space, resources, equipment and facilities to optimise office operations and outcomes.
* Develop, implement and continuously improve administrative processes, systems, standard operating procedures and office protocols.
* Respond to complex enquiries, interpreting relevant policies, procedures and entitlements as required.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build effective relationships that support Centre operations.
* Manage financial administration, including accounts payable, invoice processing and reimbursement claims in line with University policies.
* Coordinate committees, events, seminars and engagement activities, including end‐to‐end planning and delivery.
* Undertake data management and project support activities, including data reporting, record keeping and coordination or delivery of office‐based projects.

Qualifications

* A degree with subsequent relevant experience in technical or administrative fields.
* Demonstrated experience in successful event and project management, including contract negotiation, budget tracking and event planning.
* Well‐developed interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively, handle sensitive and confidential matters, negotiate effective outcomes and work effectively as a member of a high‐performing team.
* Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise work to meet competing deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* A high level of computer proficiency and digital literacy skills including Microsoft software, databases, websites and social media platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to work co‐operatively and flexibly in a small team environment, with a commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
