This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant/Secretary to join this highly regarded and long standing Melbourne law firm.
About this role...
Whilst supporting a Partner & two Lawyers, apart from your general day to day legal secretarial and administrative tasks you'll also be responsible for;
1. diary management and arranging appointments
2. word processing and dictaphone typing of legal documents and general correspondence
3. filing and indexing of original legal documents
4. taking telephone calls and assisting where appropriate with enquiries
5. assisting with preparation of documents for court hearings
6. liaising with clients directly (via phone and face to face)
7. general administrative tasks
Skills and experience we'd love...
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience as a Legal Secretary as well as;
8. previous legal secretarial experience in corporate & commercial law
9. advanced MS Word and typing skills
10. a keen eye for detail
11. the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
12. excellent inter-personal skills
