Occupational Therapist Role Overview
Our team is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our paediatric practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and young adults, providing holistic services and empowering families to overcome their challenges.
Job Description:
1. Conduct assessments and provide ongoing treatment for clients with various needs.
2. Design and implement individualised therapy intervention plans and programs, conducting hands-on therapy sessions as needed.
3. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including general practitioners, paediatricians, preschool teachers, teachers, and other health professionals involved in client care.
4. Manage a clinical caseload, ensuring high standards of clinical reasoning, time management, and administrative duties.
5. Meet billable targets and prioritise client-related work for business sustainability.
6. Collaborate with the Director to create programs, resources, and workplace efficiencies.
7. Maintain accurate and confidential paperwork at all times.
8. Ensure excellent communication standards in written, verbal, and electronic/telehealth interactions.
9. Respect client confidentiality and Intellectual Property ownership at all times.
10. Provide supervision to students, therapy assistants, and support workers, developing programs and resources for their growth and performance.
11. Adhere to occupational therapy codes of ethics and conduct.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Occupational therapy qualification.
* AHPRA registration.
* Current driver's licence.
* Preferred 2 years' experience in paediatric occupational therapy services or a genuine passion for developing paediatric skills.
* Ability to independently problem-solve, analyse client needs, conduct assessments, write high-quality reports, and provide therapy sessions and programs.
* Passion for helping people overcome challenges and ensuring excellent service quality.
* Ability to think creatively and communicate effectively.
* Understanding of the private practice model and commitment to supporting therapists in delivering high-quality services.
* Excellent work ethic and trustworthiness.
Benefits:
* Permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week).
* $80,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
