**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This is an exciting time for us, as we have created a brand new National Pace Bowling Coach role within our Cricket department to support our Australian men's and Australia A men's teams.

We're looking for someone to bring passion, drive and expertise to lead our national strategy to develop world class pace bowlers, which will include overseeing the preparation of pace bowlers for our national teams, providing pace bowling coaching support to the Australian men's and Australia A men's teams, and supporting pace bowling coach development across Australian cricket.

If you have elite coaching experience, deep expertise in the development of world class pace bowlers and the ability to lead collaboration and improve player, team and system performance, we want to hear from you.

Reporting to the Head Coach, Australian Men's Team, you'll be responsible for:

- Leading design and delivery of a coaching strategy for the sustainable development of world class pace bowlers.
- Facilitating effective multi-disciplinary collaboration to support implementation of the strategy within Cricket Australia, BBL and state & territory programs.
- Providing advice and support on the preparation and performance of pace bowlers for the Australian men's team, and performing the role of Assistant Coach (Pace Bowling) for selected series and tours.
- Overseeing pace bowling coaching for the Australia A men's team, and providing pace bowling coaching advice and support for the Australia Under 19 men's team and associated national pathway programs.
- Performing a lead role in the case management (including load planning and monitoring), off tour preparation and individual skill development of CA contracted pace bowlers and pace bowlers of national interest.
- Providing advice to the National Selection Panels on the identification and selection of pace bowlers for national programs.
- Establishing and engaging a national network of pace bowling coaches and supporting the development of pace bowling coaching across Australian cricket.
- Assisting with the delivery of the Cricket Australia High Performance Accreditation program and other High Performance pace bowling coach development initiatives.
- Contributing to other High Performance programs and initiatives, including providing support for agreed pace bowling and pace bowling coaching research projects.
- Leading by example and role modelling our Values.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- High Performance Coach Accreditation (CA Level 3 or equivalent)
- Elite coaching methodology and experience
- Deep expertise in the development of world class pace bowlers
- Proven ability to lead collaboration and improve player, team and system performance
- Competency in short and long term performance planning, execution and evaluation
- Credibility and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Detailed understanding of the Australian cricket system

A tertiary qualification in coaching / sports science or a related field, international level coaching experience, competence with Microsoft Office 365 and operating knowledge of CA Athlete Management System (AMS) is not essential, but will be highly regarded.
