Cold Store Manager
Overview
Blue Bells (WA) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced full‐time Cold Store Manager to lead and optimise our supply chain and production processes. This critical role ensures the packing and efficient flow of goods from our farm and suppliers to our customers, overseeing inventory management, transportation, warehousing, production and fulfillment.
Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and direction to the Logistics and Packing Teams, offering guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance and productivity.
* Set clear expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and address performance issues, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Oversee stock control, conduct regular audits, manage replenishment, and implement inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels and reduce costs.
* Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, manage relationships with transportation providers, monitor transportation performance, track shipments and address delays proactively.
* Optimize distribution routes and transport modes for efficiency.
* Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper packing, handling, storage, and security of inventory, implementing best practices for warehouse layout and organization.
* Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and develop improvement initiatives, using data analysis and KPIs to monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and Finance to streamline processes and leverage technology to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost‐effectiveness.
* Prepare and manage audits, ensuring adherence to HACCP, Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, Freshcare and HARPS standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in production, logistics operations and supply chain management in a similar role for at least two years.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
* Working knowledge of logistics regulations and safety standards (OHS).
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to mentor and develop team members.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to respectfully challenge processes and ideas.
* Service‐driven with a 'customer first' attitude.
* Ability to speak Mandarin and English.
