About The Opportunity
Based in Henderson, WA the Workshop Supervisor role is to safely manage the daily site operations of assigned projects. This includes coordinating relevant trades to ensure that all work, as directed by the Project Manager, is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Workshop Supervisor is a senior supervisory position, with a focus on developing personnel through mentoring and training, preparing them to progress into Project Manager roles.
What's Involved
This position is based in Henderson, WA and is suited to candidates currently living locally or within the Perth Metropolitan Area.
* Plan and schedule daily and weekly tasks for your team, ensuring clear communication of requirements.
* Identify potential risks or constraints affecting task delivery and engage key stakeholders as needed.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards.
* Manage stakeholder expectations throughout project execution.
* Supervise and develop team members through performance reviews, counselling, and ongoing mentoring, addressing employee matters in line with company policies.
* Support Operational Quality Evaluations (OQEs) by compiling submissions and assisting as required.
* Monitor procedures in practice, providing feedback to the QA Department and stakeholders to maintain task and project standards. Coordinate sub-contractors, including requesting quotations, raising purchase orders, and ensuring work meets specifications and quality expectations.
You'll Need
* Trade qualification in a relevant field.
* Proven experience in a supervisory role.
* Experience in defence, commercial, fabrication, maintenance or heavy industry environments.
* Marine or ship repair experience is highly desirable.
