Emergency Response Team Member
About the Role:
This position involves providing support to our emergency response team, responding to incidents and emergencies in a safe and effective manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment, contributing to community education activities, and promoting a positive team approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to incident and emergency calls as a day worker or shift worker.
* Attend regular drill and training sessions, including first aid and emergency care programs.
* Maintain competencies by participating in relevant training courses and ensuring safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
* Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
* Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, and ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and facilities.
Requirements:
* Australian Permanent Resident Status.
* A written employer's consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
* Reside or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station.
