Onsite | 5/2 Roster (min. 4 days/week)
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering governance and site operations for a major client in the Bowen Basin. Working closely with the G&TS; Principal Engineer (Mechanical Statutory), you’ll ensure mechanical systems are safe, compliant, and effective across site assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead MoC reviews and mechanical document control
- Conduct technical reviews of mechanical designs and drawings
- Provide guidance on mechanical standards and risk controls (e.g. dropped objects, stored energy)
- Support incident investigations, risk assessments, and MEM processes
- Participate in BOS, safety meetings, and hazard identification activities
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary Mechanical Engineering qualification (trade or university)
- 5+ years’ mining experience
- Underground and MEM experience (highly regarded)
- Competent in SAP, Fiori, FLEX, Meridian, and MS Office
Preferred
- Coal mining background
- Able to work underground and be appointed as a supervisor
