Onsite | 5/2 Roster (min. 4 days/week)
We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering governance and site operations for a major client in the Bowen Basin. Working closely with the G&TS Principal Engineer (Mechanical Statutory), you'll ensure mechanical systems are safe, compliant, and effective across site assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead MoC reviews and mechanical document control
* Conduct technical reviews of mechanical designs and drawings
* Provide guidance on mechanical standards and risk controls (e.g. dropped objects, stored energy)
* Support incident investigations, risk assessments, and MEM processes
* Participate in BOS, safety meetings, and hazard identification activities
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary Mechanical Engineering qualification (trade or university)
* 5+ years' mining experience
* Underground and MEM experience (highly regarded)
* Competent in SAP, Fiori, FLEX, Meridian, and MS Office
Preferred
* Coal mining background
* Able to work underground and be appointed as a supervisor
