Why this role matters
The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high-quality, person-centred services to people at risk or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including children, with accommodation, case management, outreach, financial assistance, and referrals to other services.
About The Role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Support Worker at our Alice Springs location. Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent full-time position.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level.
You will successfully
* Establish effective relationships with staff, managers, and stakeholders.
* Maintain communication with case managers and team members.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with residents.
* Manage groundskeeping while respecting residents’ rights and privacy.
* Monitor building activity and security via CCTV.
* Respond promptly to incidents affecting resident safety and security, following site policies.
You will have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications)
* Maintain accurate client records and data in accordance with TSA standards using TSA information systems.
* Identify service gaps and recommend improvements to the Manager.
* Follow guidance from the On Call worker as per the Open House On Call policy.
* Undertake cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure high standards of presentation.
* Experience working with people who may not have English as a first language.
* Certificate III in Community Services or willingness to undertake it.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
