CopperString is a nationally significant transmission infrastructure project that will play a critical role in Queensland's energy transition, connecting renewable energy resources in North Queensland and supporting long-term regional economic growth.

The Role
Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager – People & Culture will establish and lead the People & Culture function across the project lifecycle.
This is a greenfield role, responsible for building the organisational capability, workforce frameworks and culture required to support the development and delivery of a major infrastructure project.
Working closely with the executive team, the role will play a key part in shaping the organisation's operating model, leadership capability and long-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a fit-for-purpose People & Culture function
- Develop and implement workforce strategy and organisational design
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent strategy across critical roles
- Establish employment frameworks, policies and governance structures
- Support the development of leadership capability and culture
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO and executive team on people, performance and organisational effectiveness
About You
You are a senior People & Culture leader with experience operating in complex, high-growth or project environments.
You will bring:
- Experience building or transforming People & Culture functions in greenfield or evolving organisations
- Strong capability across workforce planning, organisational design and talent acquisition
- Experience operating in complex stakeholder environments, ideally within infrastructure, energy or major projects
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery in a build-phase environment
- Experience working within a GOC or similarly complex public‐sector aligned environment will be highly regarded
