About Them This is a national leadership role within a globally recognised FMCG manufacturing business with a significant and diverse Australian footprint. The business is entering a period of change and is investing in strengthening its operational foundations. Safety performance needs to improve, consistency across sites needs to lift, and there is a clear mandate to build a more structured, proactive approach to health and safety. You will operate at an enterprise level, working closely with executive leadership while staying connected to site operations. This is a role for someone who can influence broadly, lead from the front, and bring clarity and direction to a function that needs momentum. You will be joining at a time where there is both challenge and opportunity – the chance to make a visible impact and shape how safety is led across the organisation.About The Role You will lead the national Health & Safety strategy and execution across the business. The focus is not theoretical; it is about improving outcomes, strengthening capability and creating a clear, consistent approach across a diverse operational footprint.Key areas of focus include:Driving improvement in safety performance and reducing injury ratesBuilding a clear national Health & Safety roadmap across short, medium and long‐term horizonsCreating structure, rhythm and consistency across reporting, governance and executionCoaching and uplifting site‐based Health & Safety leaders and operational teamsPartnering closely with operations to embed practical, production‐aligned safety outcomesStrengthening visibility, engagement and ownership of safety across the businessNavigating global frameworks while shaping a fit‐for‐purpose local approachYou will operate across a national network, influencing site‐based teams within a matrix structure that requires strong stakeholder engagement rather than reliance on hierarchy.About You You are an experienced Health & Safety leader who understands how to operate in complex, multi‐site manufacturing environments. You bring a balance of operational credibility, strategic thinking and the ability to influence at all levels of a business. You are comfortable stepping into environments that are not yet mature, and you know how to stabilise, prioritise and build from there.Your background will include:Senior Health & Safety leadership experience within FMCG or fast‐paced manufacturing environments.Exposure to large, multi‐site operations with real operational riskExperience working in matrix or multinational environmentsA track record of improving safety performance and building capabilityThe ability to engage both executive stakeholders and site‐based teamsA pragmatic, commercially aware approach to safetyJust as important is your ability to operate with autonomy.
