We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Environmental Technician to join our onsite Environment team. This is a field-based role supporting the site's environmental management systems and ensuring our operations meet regulatory, safety, and corporate requirements.
The roster for this role is FIFO 15/13 Day Shift Only.
What You'll Be Doing
Environmental Monitoring
* Conduct environmental monitoring in line with the site schedule.
* Collect field data and water quality samples.
* Manage sample storage, processing, dispatch, and data entry.
* Complete and file environmental field forms accurately.
Land Management
* Assist with environmental land management programs.
* Conduct inspections, waste management activities, spill/incident response, and sediment control.
* Support mine rehabilitation work.
General Responsibilities
* Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all WHS policies.
* Proactively use safety and risk assessment tools, and report hazards/incidents.
* Participate in relevant training and development activities.
* Work collaboratively within the team to deliver strong environmental outcomes.
* Carry out additional tasks as required.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate III qualification in Environmental Science, Conservation & Ecosystem Management, or similar qualification is required.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in environmental fieldwork and land management.
* Previous mine site experience (desirable).
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Experience with hazard identification and risk control.
* Current open (manual) driver's licence.
* Desirable: First aid certificate, 4WD experience, machinery tickets (e.g. forklift), boat licence.
* Pre-employment medical clearance is required for this FIFO mining role.
