Qualifications & experience
* Relevant qualification in Community Services or related field. Minimum 1 year industry experience would be desirable
* Proven experience in rostering and/or problem-solving, preferably in a similar industry; excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff and participants.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Tasks & responsibilities
* In consultation with the General Manager, coordinate the development of rosters for Support Workers that are compliant with rostering guidelines, staff skills and participant needs
* Roster effectively to ensure staff allocation is within the participants' plans, and all allocated shifts comply with award provisions, as well as ensure that rosters are cost-effective and the use of resources is efficient.
* Ensure all participant and staff data in the rostering system, is accurate and up to date, and that all changes are monitored and actioned in a timely manner
* Provide timely and regular information to staff, participants, families, and internal managers, particularly where changes affect service delivery
* Provide other high-quality administrative and service delivery support to the Service Delivery Manager and General Manager
* Monitor service cancellations to ensure that cancellations are managed within the NDIA guidelines.
* Responsible for the provision of accurate and timely payroll data for finance and billing purposes
* Proactively address and resolve rostering conflicts ensuring minimal disruptions to service delivery, whilst maintaining staff and participant satisfaction
* Actively keep up to date with service changes in accordance with the NDIS Safeguarding Commission and NIISQ Act and Regulations
* Required to be on a rotating on-call schedule. Travel and attend meetings, training, or conferences outside the usual span of work hours when required.
