**What's the role?**
As Production Manager, KommunityTV, News Sport Network you will be leading KommunityTV's production operations, working with production companies, sporting rights partners and internal teams at News Corp Australia to stream our large range of community sports coverage. You will report to the Senior Manager, Sport Live Streaming, News Sport Network. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the communication with and management of production companies, from quotation and preparation to execution and post-production review
- Lead the communication with sporting organisations once rights deals have been concluded to ensure smooth roll-out of rights deals, collaboration and communication between production companies and KommunityTV team members
- Work with the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Projects and Senior Manager, Sport Live Streaming to run a tender for preferred suppliers for KommunityTV
- Implement any operational processes and improvements required to ensure the smooth execution and management of live streams on KommuntyTV
- Collaborate with all levels of the business in the Consumer, Editorial, Technology, Finance and Client teams nationally as required to deliver key responsibilities
- You can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide
**Who you are**
As well as having an understanding of sport broadcast and / or live streaming production, you are an energetic person with a can-do attitude who likes working in fun, fast-paced and supportive teams. Other ideal experiences and qualities in our newest team-member include:
- Demonstrated experience in liaison and operational interaction with sport live streaming / production companies (especially at a community sport level)
- Demonstrated understanding of production specifications, processes, technology and costs
- Demonstrated experience liaising with and/or understanding of sporting organisations
- Demonstrated success in either sport broadcasting and / or live-streaming
- Understanding and passion for sport
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating with production companies
- Experience in negotiating media rights deals (not essential; but desirable)
- Quick problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Strong, clear communication skills
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple streams of activity simultaneously
- Ability to work autonomously as required and judge when matters require escalation
- Financially numerate
- Comfortable navigating uncertainty, change and ambiguity as a creative problem-solver
- Ability to have difficult conversations and hold stakeholders accountable for performance
- A mindset of continuous improvement and not settling for the status quo
