Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid) Contract Duration: Permanent, full-time Security Clearance Requirement: Baseline minimum and NV1 preferred Closing Date: Applications close ASAP – shortlisting will occur as applications are received Essential Tasks: Lead and contribute to network infrastructure projects across switching, routing and firewall solutions.
Design, implement and optimise BGP routing, IPsec VPNs and secure site-to-site connectivity for high availability.
Plan and execute network changes and upgrades, including firewall policies, wireless rollouts and modernisation programs.
Produce and maintain documentation, diagrams and standards while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant solutions.
Key Criteria: Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer with strong routing and switching skills, including VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP and LAG.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, Aruba switches and next-gen firewalls (Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto), plus wireless controllers and APs.
Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting IPsec site-to-site VPNs, plus Voice/SIP and Microsoft Teams/SBC environments.
Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to work independently and continuously upskill.
