About the Role Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of a busy, multi-faceted pub. Your responsibilities will span front-of-house leadership, staff supervision, financial accountability, and compliance. Key duties include: Overseeing daily operations across the bar, bistro, and gaming areas to ensure seamless service delivery Leading, rostering, and motivating a large team of bar, kitchen, and floor staff Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain cost efficiency Ensuring full compliance with RSA, RSG, and Queensland liquor licensing requirements at all times Handling opening and closing procedures, cash management, and end-of-day reconciliations Driving a positive venue culture through consistent communication, coaching, and performance feedback Assisting with function coordination, promotions, and special events to maximise revenue Stepping up as Acting Venue Manager in the absence of the VM Your Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a pub, or high-volume bar environment Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting Current Queensland RSA, RSG, RMLV and Approved certifications (essential) Excellent communication skills and the natural ability to build rapport with guests and staff alike Solid understanding of Queensland liquor licensing legislation and workplace health & safety obligations Your Benefits and Rewards Competitive above-award salary, negotiable based on experience Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Staff meals on shift and venue discounts A genuine team-first culture Stable, full-time hours with a supportive and experienced leadership team behind you To apply online, please click on the apply button.
