What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Clinical Director of Surgery, the Orthopaedic Fellow to provide and support the development of Orthopaedic Surgery services to the patients of Port Macquarie Base Hospital in support of the clinical services plan for the Clinical Network.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
* Demonstrated experience in Orthopaedic Trauma Management.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Knowledge and evidence of applying quality improvement in the clinical environment.
* Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
