The key duties of the position include:

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join our team as an APS4 Executive Assistant. This ongoing role provides the opportunity to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our branch in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

As an Executive Assistant in Digital Sourcing, you will provide dependable executive and administrative support to senior leaders, ensuring the effective day‑to‑day operations of the branch. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including legal, communications, category management, platform teams and external industry partners to coordinate tasks, organise information and support routine processes.

Key duties:

* Manage the Senior Executive’s diary, correspondence and workflow, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed within required timeframes.
* Provide timely and professional support to internal and external stakeholders as a first point of contact for the branch and managing these relationships.
* Deliver high level executive support by conducting basic research and coordinating the preparation of papers for DTA and external board meetings.
* Prepare, review and coordinate routine to moderately complex correspondence to ensure the accuracy, quality and timely of information for the Senior Executive.
* Oversee the coordination of divisional/branch responses to ministerial and parliamentary requests.
* Work collaboratively with other Executive Assistants, Executive Officers and the broader business areas to support branch operations, including arranging meetings and events, coordinating travel, providing customer support, and assisting with supporting the delivery of branch projects.
* Drive continuous improvement by implementing efficient administrative systems and processes for the Senior Executive’s office.
* Undertake additional high level administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required.
Eligibility

Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).

To be eligible for employment with the DTA applicants must be an Australian citizen.

An applicant's suitability for employment with the DTA will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes an Australian Police check.

Notes

The DTA may leverage a mix of assessment methods for this position, which may or may not involve an interview.

A merit pool may be established and used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies within the next 18 months consistent with Section 25 of the Australian Public Service Commissioner’s Directions 2022.

This role may require the individual to work or be contacted outside of their usual working hours where reasonable, for example, to deal with high priority or urgent matters or in an emergency. The DTA Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027 takes this into account and provides compensation for an individual when they are required to work, or be contactable, outside of usual working hours. This includes access to overtime, restriction allowance, flextime, time off in lieu (TOIL) and other benefits.

Please Note: On 12 March 2026 the salary range for this position will increase to $80,581 - $87,087.
