About the Role
As a senior verification engineer, you will lead the development and execution of verification programs for allocated projects relating to the Collins Class Submarines Integrated Ship Control Management and Monitoring System (ISCMMS).
You will work closely with the systems engineering and verification lead to ensure that all test resources and plans are scheduled to enable project objectives to be achieved at the required standard in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will:
* Define the testing and verification aspects of the project work breakdown structure and contribute to responsibility assignments in accordance with the global management system.
* Lead the verification activities for the program, including the identification, monitoring, and mitigation of technical risks associated with the verification activities.
* Provide input to the systems engineering and verification lead in the coordination of verification activities, particularly the testing program, including development of detailed V&V schedule, identification of equipment and personnel requirements, and resolving verification issues and problems.
* Own the development and maintenance of the project's RVM, including the management of test results and supporting OQE.
* Own the development of subsystem Test Acceptance Procedures and test reports, and identify/review OEM test evidence for suitability for use by the project.
* Ensure the system baselines are sufficiently mature to enter any associated formal testing activity.
Flexible work arrangements such as 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About You
Your skills and experience will include:
* A minimum of 8 years' experience in testing of software systems.
* Experience in the maritime or submarines domain (desired).
* Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with an external customer organisation towards program strategic goals.
* Ability to spend large amounts of time conducting testing activities at our customer's site at Osborne, SA.
A defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance preferably to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
